On one hand where cases of Corona infections are being counted in the country. On the other hand, on 2nd May election results were counted from whose rallies corona virus 🦠 actually spread , and the results are very shocking.
If we talk especially of west bengal everything predicted by the exit polls turned out to be wrong. Not one or two, all the exit polls failed badly. They predicted TMC would get at most 180 seats . But in reality TMC get an almost two-thrids majority,not only did they cross the 200 mark, But their performance also was better than in the last Bengal Election.Not only the media, the home minister of the country, Amit shah had also predicted the result very confidently after every phases of the election.After the first phase, he said the BJP will win 26 out of 30 seats. After five phase, he said that BJP had already won 122 seats. And overall said that BJP will cross the 200 mark, But this did not happen often politicians put across such claims to build up the narrative. So, that there is good momentum in the election, It's not a big deal. But there was one prediction where big stakes were involved.
The prediction of the political stratigies prashant kishore, he said that BJP will not cross the 100 mark. The number of seats they will win not be in 3 digits. If they do win, he will leave his profession. Not only did his prediction turn true. But they come true at the time when the whole media ran with the exact opposite claim.
After winning the election, he accused the election commission of a very serious crime. Generally, it is when parties lose the election, they blame the EVM's or election comissions. But here even after winning the election by majority, he said that election comission tried its best to help BJP win. And this has happened for the first time in the history of the country.He said that the election comission was so biased towards a party. He gave several reasons for this :
(a) First stretching the election for 8 phases.
(b) Second, designing the election phases in such a way that, In the first couple of phases the areas where BJP is stronger goes to the election.And in the areas and districts where. TMC is strong conducting election in each of those district in four phases there, so that no momentum can be build up.
(c) Third using religion, all the religious politics used during the campaigning allowing it to continue .
If we talk about the religious politics, then some people are still trying to drive a wedge between Hindu and Muslims even after this election. It is especially seen frequently that by the BJP supporters. They are saying that TMC wins in the election is because of their minority vote bank, That all Muslim come together for TMC. They wonder that hindus in west bengal are in danger ⚡ So, that all Hindu come together to vote their party. This strategy is used every time in every state, they thinks that they can scare and fool hindus to get their votes. But in reality in Bengal 70% of the population is Hindu. And if you see vote share of TMC, it is almost touching 50% and population of Muslims are less than 5%. But all the seats there have been won by TMC by a large margin. This clearly shows that labelling everything as Hindu or Muslims need to be stopped even though BJP lost in west bengal.
Now if we talk about the CM candidate, another interesting thing happened in the west bengal election, when on hand TMC won with two- thirds majority. On th other hand chief minister Mamata Banerjee lost the election of her own seat 🪑. This seat was from Nandigram constituency, with a margin of 1736 votes, she lost the seat with very small Margin. The question arises what will happen now?????????? When the CM candidate loses the election but the party wins it, Can Mamata Banerjee be the CM now?
The answer is Yes.....it hasn't happened for the first time in the country, For Mamata Banerjee to become the CM, One MLA has to resign and there will be byelection for that seat 🪑and she will have to win the byelection in 6 months, to become CM, that's the rule. It sounds very complicated but in reality it is not so. Mostly, the CM wins the byelection easily.
