The conflict between Israel and Palestine has worsened so much,so that it looks like a war.Thousand of rocket 🚀 are fired and many people are losing their lives as well.The topic is so controversial that people across the world 🌎 are divided in their opinions,Even in India.Two trends were at the top on Twitter, one India stands with Israel and the other India stands with Plaestine.Why this topic and war starts again?????.....
This is the map of israel-Palestine,you can see israel on this map very clearly,but one need to look for palestine.The highlighted region on map 🗺️ on the top of the region is known as the west bank.And the thin green strip at the bottom is known as the Gaza strip.In this map 🗺️,the areas in the green are the place where Palestinians lives and the area in dark green are the ones governed by the Palestinian government.But the pink area in the west bank is where Israel is in control,some Israelis also live there.you might think How two countries can exist as hundred of different parts? There are more than hundred parts.And if a person starts walking from top to the bottom,he will find that.If two countries exist in pieces surrounded by each other, there is bound to be a lot of conflict between them.
In the middle of the map 🗺️ is the city of Jerusalem.A very holy city for the people from three religion : Christian,Muslims and Jews.Jerusalem is under Israel's control and many Israelis live there.And in east Jerusalem area many Palestinians live there , and According to International law,it is a part of Palestine. But Israel had occupied that area,Israel beleives that whole Jerusalem city is theirs and should be so, Palestine beleives that it is theirs, obviously.In the last several years,in east Jerusalem many Palestine families had to face evictions.Israeli government is accused of forcefully evicting many palestinian families out of their homes.
On the other hand if we talk about Gaza strip,the story differs there, Plaestinian government is not in control there.It is occupied by a militant group/political party HAMAS.The Palestinian prime minister governing the dark green areas in west bank , even he doesn't have any control over the Gaza strip.And some countries beleive that the HAMAS is a terrorist group,HAMAS and ISRAELI military 🎖️ often launch rocket against each other. Though Israel has an Iron dome,It is a very efficient defence system that keep protected against the rocket 🚀 from HAMAS.The firing of rocket and airstrikes occur between Israel and Gaza,the west bank of Palestine doesn't have much to do with it and no rockets are launch by them, Because Israeli people live there too.But at the same time the borders in Gaza are clearly defined.Israelis people don't live in Gaza,it is very clearly a dark green strip. In fact Israel has put complete blockades all around Gaza.On one side Israel has blocked it and on the other Egypt has blocked it completely.They have been economically cut off from the rest of the world 🌎 as well,Because of this the unemployment rate is high here. The money that comes to Gaza from the people across the world 🌎 that want to help them ,But most of the time HAMAS uses that money to buy weapons and launch rockets.
Once you have understood the background knowledge now lets go the current situation :
It can be said that the current issues began with the topic of Jerrah Sheikh, Jerrah is a neighbourhood in east Jerusalem where many Palestinians families were ordered to leave their homes. Additionally about week ago some exremist right-wing jews had provicating rallies in the neighbourhoods of East Jerusalem,where they carried the slogan "Death to Arabs". When these rallies passed, fight outbroke between the Jews
and the Arabs Muslims communities amidst heightened tensions. And these were inflamed by the extreme right-wing Israeli politicians. They gave extremely provocating speeches. They claimed that whole city was theirs.And this lead to the worsening of the situation.
On 7th May palestanian people were protesting against these evictions.The protest became violent,stones were thrown, the Israeli police tried to control the situation. The police 🚓 and the protestor crashed and the people were injured in both sides
On 10th May Israeli police entered the Al Aqsa mosque, rubber bullets were fired and Stung grenades were thrown at the Palestinians there,At the people who were praying there. Israeli police claimed that they had information that some Palestinians had collected stones to be thrown at the right-wing people passing rallies carrying the "Death to Arabs" slogan.After hearing this news of the mosque, the HAMAS group gave an ultimatum to the Israeli government to withdraw Israeli police from the mosque or else they would attack.
After some hours, started firing rocket 🚀🚀🚀 at Israel. The HAMAS group launches thousand of rocket 🚀 against Israel from Gaza. And when these rocket fell on Israel, Israel retailed with airstrikes on Gaza, Israel carried out more than 130 airstrikes on Gaza. And in last two days more than 60 people have died including kids. On the other side,more than eight Israelis have died as well as one Indian person.
Note : Pray for all those innocent being who had died in the attacks.....May god give their family members an enough power to compete this situation..........
